Here it is everyone, my favorite mech in all of Battletech, the Timber Wolf^^ A 75 ton heavy mech that packs one heck of a punch. I hope everyone likes the model, plus here is some lore for my Battletech force I have been working on here and there.
Name: SturmWulfen(also known as Storm Wolves)
Group Type: Mercenaries
d House: House Steiner
Background: The SturmWulfen are a mercenary group of the Inner Sphere formed just before the Fourth Succession War and has earned a name for itself since it's formation. Formed in 3027 by Sara Sapphire early in the year and while is a merc company is ultimately loyal to House Steiner alongside the Lyran Commonwealth and uses the symbol of Steiner itself. In preparation for the Fourth Succession War the SturmWulfen received great funding from Katrina Steiner in the form of an investment grant. Sara spent most of 3027 securing better mechs, weapons and tech from doing missions against the Draconis Combine.
History: While the real start of the SturmWulfen is in the year 3027, it wasn't until the start of the Fourth Succession War in 3028 that the SturmWulfen would really make a name for themselves. Sara would lead the SturmWulfen in the opening waves alongside the opening forces of the Federated Suns, this would help lead to one of the many breaches into the Capellan Confederation. The SturmWulfen would often meet the defending Capellan's head on, even encountering the Cataphract heavy mech and examples of the light Raven designs, many of which would be aquired and claimed as salvage.
Towards the end of the Fourth Succession War the SturmWulfen would be caught in a pincer move launched by the Confederation to try to counter a Lyran assault force. The SturmWulfen in it's entirety was surrounded and thus took up a defensive stance with Demolisher and Schrek tanks set up in ambush and choke points with Sara commanding from her Atlas. The battle would last for 11 hours almost non-stop with the Capellan forces having been almost wiped out entirely with the SturmWulfen having taken relatively light loses given most of them were mech salvaged from the Confederation and pressed into service, most notable a pair of Highlander assault mechs that crashed into a pair of dropships with their pilots ejecting at the last possible second.
This would lead to the SturmWulfen gaining high prestige and while would take them out of the rest of the Fourth Succession War would solidify them and their reputation.
Between the end of the Fourth Succession War and the Clan Invasion, the SturmWulfen would not only rebuild but would continue to operate, not only doing work for House Steiner but also for the Free Worlds League against independent factions, pirates and mostly against the holds of the Draconis Combine, continuing to build their forces overall. During this time Sara would give birth to her son and would work on raising him as she continued to operate as the leader of the mercenary group. Her son quickly gained a fondness at a young age to become a mechwarrior and under his mother's guidance to become the heir of the SturmWulfen. When he became of age Sara offered to get him any mech he wanted, Adam chose a Shadowhawk which did catch many off guard but he wanted a humble start and decided on the medium mech which he would constantly practice with.
As the Clan Invasion was starting the SturmWulfen were conducting operations in Kurita space where Adam would make his first deployment in a lance led by his mother in her Atlas, backed by an Archer heavy mech and a Centurion medium mech. During this deployment Adam would work alongside the Centurion to occupy artillery and under his supervison would bring down a Black Knight heavy mech and a Centurion alongside occupying the artillery long enough for Sara and the Archer to bring down the artillery wit broth groups meeting up and securing the beach head for the contract.
After the mission was over and the SturmWulfen were getting ready to leave the planet when a strike force of Jade Falcon landed lead by Nicolai Malthus himself. While the SturmWulfen commenced their final checks Adam had boarded his Shadowhawk in order to act as an overwatch. Adam would end up challenging Malthus to a duel, his Shadow Hawk versus a Timber Wolf, with the conditions being that if Adam won then the SturmWulfen were free to go with the Timber Wolf coming with him, if Adam lost then the SturmWulfen on the world would submit to the Jade Falcon's under the condition that in either scenario no harm would come his mothers way which Malthus agreed.
Adam knew his chances were slim but he this was part of a ruse as he also typed a secret message that if he lost then the SturmWulfen were to evacuate to the pilot, bying his mother entirely. Adam was amazed by the Timber Wolf, how it moved like a medium mech, is a heavy class at 75 tons and yet packs the power of an assault mech. While short the duel would leave an impression on both sides with both mech sustaining minor damage, but the turning point was when Adam used the Shadowhawk's jumpjets and landed a kick on top of the Timber Wolf and knocking out the Clan mechs targeting systems, leading to Malthus to surrender, leaving those of both sides in awe and in shock, particularly the Clanners. To help diffuse the tense situation Adam would try to give a Steiner welcome with a celebratory get together, leading to the SturmWulfen getting Clan tech and repairs to the Timber Wolf, with the Clan heavy mech becoming Adam's personal mech in Steiner colors.

I had gotten tired of Battletech a long time ago because of how extremely limiting the game was. There is only so many ways to design a battlemech as there is no configuration that others have not done thousands of times. It only kept my interest as long as it has because I tried to design ultra light tanks that could take on the heaviest battlemechs in numbers and the backstories people have thought up.
if you would look under posts of His_Most_Royal_Highass_Donkey you can find my designs on https://www.sarna.net/forums/
To be honest I definitely understand the wane in interest when it comes to Battletech, it's something I go through all the time where for a burst I am interested and it quickly dies away, I haven't done custom configurations for the tabletop and I haven't played many games for it. Plus the idea of a light glass cannon taking on a juggernaut is always quite a fun idea, to be honest most of my Battletech experience is play Mercenaries in Career Mode^^;
Also I checked out some your designs and I think they sound pretty cool^^
I think that my ultra light tanks where putting some fresh air into deg vehicles.
