From Mouthy to Muted (Radio TF) by TheGooslyW11
It's Day 28 of Octransfur, and the theme is Mute! #Octransfur
I sometimes have a bad habit of saying more words than I need to say. Exacerbating that, I may give an even lengthier statement if I feel I say something wrong or unclearly. It seems that whoever I was talking to decided I was saying far too much. They took matters into their own hands by hitting me with a transformation!
Naturally, my mouth was the first thing to change, in this person's seeming attempt to shut me up. It solidified and rounded out, becoming a blue speakerphone. The jarring feeling of my mouth sealing up and becoming electronic was accompanied by a bizarre tingling sensation in my throat. It traveled down and into my soon-to-be-absent lungs, mechanizing my vocal chords. I could still speak & sounded like myself, but my voice now sounded and felt as crunchy and staticky as a circa-2000s radio!
My shock at my modified voice distracted me from more changes rapidly occurring farther below. My chest smoothed out with a bright-blue color, sprouting an array of buttons across it. The rest of my torso hardened with a cooler blue, becoming comprised of dense plastic in mere seconds. But what finally drew my attention from my new boombox of a mouth was what happened to my legs: One of them became stiff as a board, completely becoming a gray color similar to my pants & shrinking rapidly. This sudden loss of balance sent me tumbling to the floor, barely able to break my fall with my arms... which began shrinking away into my body almost immediately afterward!
My other leg followed suit quickly, ten and becoming a short gray stub. I was effectively a living plastic limbless-torso-shaped plastic hunk on the ground now, but my changes weren't quite finished... Perhaps the weirdest feeling of this transformation was my head streeeeetching out horizontally, until it was equally as wide as my chest! My speaker mouth shifted to one side of my elongated head, with my eyes & nose moving to the other side. My nose became unusually circular, forming my new volume dial. And my eyes promptly merged together & transformed into a small rectangular digital screen, which served as both an information display and my new "eyes"!
Lastly, my still-loose-and-flowing hair suddenly clumped together, freezing together into even more plastic. The center of it lifted from my "head" slightly, creating a convenient handle, and a new antenna sprouted from one particular lock of hair. With that, the person who'd had enough of my conversation had completed my transformation into a small handheld radio! They allowed me to lay motionless on the ground for a moment before taking me into their hands.
Despite my rigid, immovable body, I was still able to look around through my display, and thankfully still talk through my speaker! I tried asking the person what they'd just done to me, and why they'd resorted to a transformation when a simple discussion would have worked wonders. But before I could say much, their hand darted toward my new volume dial... "W-wait, what are you doin--..." Silence. I could still very much feel my internal mechanisms attempting to formulate words, but nothing came out. Exhaling a mildly-sadistic sigh of relief, the person took me over to a nearby shelf & displayed me up high before walking away.
And that's where I'm at now: Stuck as a radio, commanding a view of the perpetrator's room, only really able to look around with my display "eyes". They didn't seem like an evil person, at least, just someone who was having a bad day. I bet they'll probably unmute me after a day or two of cooling off... I'd better prepare some manner of apology for when they allow my speaker to function once more.
This is a wonderful TF sequence drawn by GooslyTFs! Thank you!
