"Actually, wait a second," answered Cyril.
He then grabbed the room's phone and dialed the number of a room.
"He's here, door's unlocked."
"What? Pops, what are you-"
"Hey, Cedric!"
Cedric turned in surprise at that voice behind him, that he didn't expect to hear here.
He turned back, and saw that his ears didn't trick him.
It was Bert Raccoon.
"Bert?!" exclaimed the younger aardvark.
Not just him, Ralph and Melissa were here too.
"What are you doing here?!" exclaimed Cedric with a smile, for it was a good surprise.
"We're here for a report on an exhibit at the museum of nature! It's about many forests in Canada, and Evergreen is included!"
"Oh right, I intended to go and see it during the stay! I didn't know you'd come too!"
"We didn't have the time to tell you, you were busy at work."
Cedric blushed awkwardly.
"And you knew, pops?" he realized.
"I found out just a few hours ago, during my walking around in town," explained Cyril. "I met them while they were trying to park. Well, mister here tried to park, and almost ran me over," he snarked, pointing at Bert.
"I didn't see you, okay?!" protested Bert. "And speaking of which, Cedric, when did your father become Hulk?!"
That question froze Cedric, before he turned in shock to his father.
"Er... Yeah, I might have gotten pissed and..." stammered Cyril, who was having his turn at being awkward. "I might have wanted to give him a scare, so... I might have hulked up and begun lifting the car with him inside..."
"SERIOUSLY, POPS?!"
"I made sure there was no one else around us first!"
"STILL!!"
"Oh, he quickly stopped, he already realized he shouldn't have done that," defended Bert.
"Still too late," snarked Melissa.
"When we began asking what the hell was that, he told us that you'd both answer at the hotel," added Ralph.
Cedric sighed. What was done was done.
And to be fair, he wouldn't have liked to hide something like that to his friend.
So he and his father told the three raccoons about the coin, the thief, the incantation and its results...
