Running a manufacturing vessel isn't easy. There's time schedules to keep, things to build, jump hubs to navigate around for when the federal and sector powers are having hissy fits, and most importantly people both inside and out of his ship to keep satisfied. Some days there's hardly a moment to himself, but the work is worth his while, even if it is rough around the edges. It's all about knowing where the supply and demand is.
In moments where Ozark does happen to have a moment or two to himself, he can usually be found in something like this. A long-sleeve turtleneck shirt (quite fashionable around the ladies, he's realized), cargo khaki pants, and a pair of rugged boots. He rarely accessorizes, and if he does it's for practicality complementing his abilities in gravity manipulation. His necklace, called the 'Blackstar Amulet', allows him to take advantage of a 'null gravity field' for levitation and limited flight abilities without resorting to his own conscious effort. And the thing at his waist? His Starwalker's Cane, a collapsible staff that can help him stand on high-gravity surfaces and fix in place to hold himself or other heavy objects.
Oh my. He seems to have noticed you. A wink and a blep? Who can say 'no' to that? :3c
One might think that being in a time where magic and tech can in some cases be one and the same, with plenty of opportunities to experience adventure and excitement, would be full of people seeking... well, adventure and excitement, but that's not really the case. In fact, such activities are more reserved for mercenaries and bounty hunters, the opinions about which are very different depending on who you ask. Homeworlders and inhabitants of more civilized colonies, mainly Endaria, despise them and call them 'barbaric killers for fun and profit'. Locales of high rates of space piracy, such as the Outer Core Worlds, don't just embrace but rely on inexpensive manpower to keep bad guys at bay. The fact of the matter is, most Terrans just want to find a decent job that pays well, maybe settle with a significant other to raise a family, and have their adventure and excitement in smaller, more manageable doses. Like going to Fantasia Dreamland (formerly known as Disney World).
Ozark skirts that fine line of adventure and mundane as a 'space trucker', the kind of person who hauls freight between planets and space stations to distribute goods to where they're needed most. Specifically, Ozark is of the manufacturing "PLV" (planetside logistics vessel) type of space trucker, which is quite a bit more complicated than dropping stuff off between space stations. His vessel, the Witch Doctor, is a 'medium-duty' New Orleans class logistics-only starship that was converted into making civil infrastructure components, from replacement space station modules to megarail bridges, completely in-flight. Though he sometimes strays into the various other Terran Empire sectors for the odd job or two, his primary area of focus is the Outer Core Worlds colonies, where the individual nations of the homeworld manage the colonies and are always in need of new civil projects.
Did I also mention he's a sorcerer who can manipulate gravity? :3c
EmzieTowers was in need of more examples of their 'colored sketch' commission option and I was in the market for an example of Ozark in casual clothing - something I grossly neglected when I commissioned his full reference. He kinda looks like a really weird version of Steve Jobs, at least from the waist-up. Rest assured Ozark is not using any Apple devices in his everyday life - mainly because Apple doesn't really exist in the 33rd century :P
