It's sad but true. So many times I've seen cool artworks posted in places but I have no fucking idea AT ALL where to find the artist because the SIGNATURE is unidentifiable.

This drives me up the wall. I know its not the easiest to have and maintain a brand. ESPECIALLY if its not your main job or anything. But it's still wildly frustrating to see! If even so much as its hard to talk about the artist anywhere unless they've said what they prefer being called online!!!

Strangely enough I need to check with people if my signature is too small on my art lofl. I work on a HUGE canvas on a HUGE tablet. So when I resize to post it can get a little.... little? Need to work on that more.

Yeah, it frustrates me to come across a neat piece of art and have no idea who did it, or to have the signature or logo be wholly illegible.

I one that took me an age to find the original artist for. Their signature was just a stylized H with the date. It was only dumb luck that I found them in the end.

I even make sure to ask for a watermarked/signed copy of any commissions if they don't include it by default. Had artists be confused as to why I wanted it.

It's their hard work! It's credit to them and that skill!
Of course I list it in descriptions and such too but still... having it on the image itself is way better.

And make sure the signature is something you can actually (a) read and (b) find somewhere. Illegible signatures being one thing, but some folks sign their art with a name that isn't actually used on any gallery sites so you can't ind it :P
