At last WulfBane has reached the lair of the beast that had been ravaging the fields and instilling fear in the kingdom. Having lost much of his gear and gained a considerable gut thanks to the curse that had afflicted him, the Lupine Guard knew he was going to have to get creative.
The dragon was massive and stacked with muscles upon muscles. The type of muscles the wolf once had that had since been replaced by blubber built upon blubber. As towering wall prepared a jet of flames, the obese wolf managed a surprisingly deft fat roll to avoid the blast and take shelter behind a convenient stone formation.
He still had no set plan of action. His thoughts were interrupted by another grumble of his cursed hunger. Distracted once again, a stray thought entered WulfBane’s head. Perhaps inspired by. the gout of flame licking his own hind quarters, a thought that he could really go for some roast meat was all he could think.
And before he could blink, a pair meaty bones manifested in his hands. “What sorcery is this?” Undeterred, the hungry wolf held one of his magical meat sticks out into the flames to give it a nice searing and sunk his fangs. It tasted exquisite! At that, his thoughts of endless hunger cleared just enough to logic out what happened. The magical nature of the gelatinous cube he consumed had melded with his curse of continuous consumption to evolve and empower his curse. He could now summon forth his own food to feed his hunger.
And perhaps he isn’t the only one who hungers.The introduction of or menacing dragon Borruhn of
