This is an old commission from all the way back in 2012 that I got from sethtriggs to promote an outreach event I was coordinating at Electric Avenue on the Portland State University campus. I figured if I was gonna spend other people’s money hiring an artist, it might as well be a furry artist.

Nine years later, these electric vehicle charging stations are long gone and the street is now a pedestrian plaza. It’s surprising how quickly this colorful poster that was supposed to be a playful tribute to the future instead became a monument to the past.

I’ve always thought that in an alternate world run by furries cars would have been electric from the beginning; sensitive fox ears and noses would never have tolerated the noise and noxious fumes emitted by burning gasoline in combustion engines.
